Karmma Calling: Revenge on Repeat, But the Remote’s Broken

Imagine Alibag as Rohit Shetty’s Goa, minus the car stunts and plus a mysterious young woman named Karma (surprise!). She’s rich, connected, and has less digital footprint than a ghost. Why’s she here? Revenge, duh! Her dad, Satya-jeet (of course!), got framed for fraud by these Alibag A-listers, so Karma’s out to smash their egos like watermelons.

Except, her methods are about as subtle as a Bollywood villain’s laugh. Think seducing rich boys, leaking secrets like leaky faucets, and crossing out faces on her laptop like a bored teenager with a red marker.

The Plot

Imagine a revenge tale inspired by Baazigar, with a dash of Revenge (the American series, not the act of revenge itself). Throw in a Bollywood actress, a mysterious newcomer with a sad backstory, and a cyber-security tycoon who probably spends too much time on “the gram.” Stir in some predictable plot twists, questionable dubbing, and scenes that stretch time like a bad yoga instructor. Voilà, Karmma Calling is served!

The Characters

Karma Talwar, our vengeful protagonist, is about as subtle as a neon sign in a blackout. Imagine Small Wonder crossed with a Terminator, delivering lines like “Why do you need fireworks? You’re a bomb yourself.” The rest of the cast isn’t much better, with everyone seemingly auditioning for a reality show that never got greenlit. Rich people speak in smug smirks and corny one-liners, while poverty is apparently owning a beachside pub-cafe. It’s like watching a Bollywood bingo card come to life, with every cliche ticked off in record time.

Logic, Missing in Action

Don’t bother looking for logic here. People magically materialize, walls become invisible, and poverty means owning a beachside pub-cafe. The same song plays on repeat, hidden cameras are everywhere, and the dubbing is so off, it sounds like a line got lost in translation.

Performances on Auto-Pilot:

The acting? Don’t even get me started. It’s like everyone is auditioning for a reality show that never got picked up. The lead, Namrata Sheth, delivers lines with all the emotion of a Roomba, and even Raveena Tandon seems to be sleepwalking through her scenes.

Karmma might be calling, but its number has been marked as spam. Do yourself a favor and avoid this show like the plague. Unless, of course, you’re into watching trainwrecks unfold in slow motion. In that case, grab the popcorn and prepare for a cringe-fest of epic proportions.
